Someone using the “host hack” can join a game and have the same abilities as the game host. A similar hack, the “game jammer”, allows players to join your game without being visible and otherwise wreck havoc, cause players to drop, etc.

Don’t forget that requesting a screenshot in the game lobby can catch hackers too!

1. If the host hack is on, all the slots are yellow and enabled (for someone who isn’t the game host).
2. In one of the most-downloaded hack packs the map download percent is displayed, so in a screenshot you can see that his download percent is always showing 100.
3. You can also catch game jammer, etc. if you feel someone is messing with your hosting by typing the /watchall command to view everyone who joins and leaves your game.

Example: /watchall shows that a player joined your game but you never see him in the lobby. This can also be caused by lag though, so just watch closely and only suspect hacking if 1) someone joins you game but isn’t visible and 2) you have problems starting the game, people randomly dropping, etc.

Protip: Avoid host hacks by using password protected games!
