Swift: How long have you been playing Warcraft?
Showdog: Since zone, don’t really know when I first started.
Swift: Do you keep in contact with any of your allies from back then?
Showdog: I try, but I lose contact when the same interests aren’t there anymore. However, there’s one that I’ve been talking to off and on.
Swift: Who would that be?
Showdog: You wouldn’t know him, he was new when he’s at zone and never transitioned to Battle.net. I doubt anyone remembers him, I know I wouldn’t if I hadn’t kept in contact with him.
Swift: What does eG stand for?
Showdog: Originally, it was Empire Galactica, created by PhreaK[eG]. But since I joined a while back, it has taken on a life of it’s own and popularly known as “extremely Gay”
Swift: When was eG founded?
Showdog: Dunno…wasn’t there when it happened. Seems like I’m owning this interview pretty damn hard.
Swift: How do you think the competition and game play has changed since early battle.net and zone/kali days?
Showdog: The competition has improved to a level that I could not even of imagined a few years back. People have taken this game and made things out of it that Blizzard didn’t even think possible. Overall, given any decent player today, they can easily beat a good player on Zone/Heat in its prime.
Swift: How would you compare yourself amoungst players today?
Showdog: Average at best.
Swift: : Who is your favorite ally?
Showdog: I have many, but I like to ally PhreaK[eG] and td_jakes most. They don’t seem to care if they lose. Although PhreaK[eG] has a huge mouth, but he plays for fun, unlike many out there who’s out for a win. Of course, given me as their ally, they usually carry me a lot.
Swift: Trash talkers? No need to name names. ;]
Showdog: Lmao, I beat sab a second time that one night and he was pissed, left war2. Those are the ppl I don’t like.
Swift: Because he logged off randomly out of anger?
Showdog: no, because he’s angered by the fact he loses to a “noob”
Swift: Whats your take on the classic Fastest vs EF debate?
Showdog: They’re both good for developing different skills. Neither is better nor worse.
Swift: Which do you perfer[sic] and why?
Showdog: Even Faster, because I’m slow
Swift: what do you think of ru, and all that ldir and burnt have done for the community?
Showdog: I haven’t thought much about it, but I am glad that there are people who’s willing to devote their time to support this game. I would love to help (with coding and such), but given the amount of time I have, I don’t know how much I’ll be able to do. So I never volunteered. Not that they’ll want me to help anyway.
Swift: Heh, will you be participating in the War2 Festival this summer?
Showdog: What’s that?
Swift: In short, the War2 Festival is an annual event with 2-3 tournaments over a weekend, cash is involved. I believe it starts July 29th.
Showdog: Ahh, if I have time, I will do it.
Swift: I’ll say a word or two, and you just tell me what comes to mind.
Showdog: Will do.

Showdog: Extremely Gay
Swift: Pimster
Showdog: dunno him
Swift: Gaying
Showdog: I find it very hard to gay since I always forget to do other thins when I gay. I’m very impressed with those that are good with them, like braviet or you. Maybe I just need
someone to teach me how to gay.
Swift: Braviet
Showdog: He’s one random player. He does the craziest things I’ve ever seen, and succeeds in doing them. Makes me proud to be a Vietnamese just like him. Doesn’t talk much though, maybe English is his second language?
Swift: shit talk
Showdog: First thing that pops into my head is Swift, but others also popup like Kanuks and Banana. Although those aren’t the only names, but they are most recent in my memories. I find shit talk devalues war2. It doesn’t help the community and sometimes, all you see are people swearing at each other and not play. If I had it my way, shit talk would be limited, but not banned of course. Banning it would stop competition, and we wouldn’t want that.
Swift: Smurfs
Showdog: I don’t care much for smurfs, if they don’t want to be known, then let them be. However, I hate people who smurfs and then later say something stupid like, “I beat you on my smurf name, blah blah blah”. Who gives a shit?
Swift: Hacking?
Showdog: I do it all the time. Joking aside, if you really do feel the need to hack, go for it. As long as I don’t hack, and I don’t feel like my opponent is hacking, I’m fine with it.
Classic Match ups.

Swift: Favorite war2 memory?
Showdog: Phreak and I were chatting on bnet and we typed in !last <username> of course, replacing the username with random players name and then doing /me <username> was last seen on <some random date>. We did this for a few names and ppl thought it was real everyone started doing it, but of course, it didn’t work We convinced many players to even restart their computer to get it working. Good times.
Swift: Heh, confusing. later.
Showdog: later
