Okay okay, I know: no one likes backstabers. And dont like when I get backstabed, but hey, we all get a thrill from betraying another player.
This story begins when I created a game called “3 player FFA” Now, I knew a newbie would join me and my firend who we pretended not to eachother. The map was a form of high seas combat and I new that map very well. I had it n fixed locations so I knew where each would start. I was going all out for this one. I wanted to hear the guy whine and complain about losing. So we start the game and everything goes as planned. I build of ships of war and my partner (who was a newbie at the time) was building like one. I gave advice and we quickly got a joint army up. I attacked the other guy first, losing my ships to submarines. I was unprepared for what I went up against.
By this time I had about four Drogon Roosts to produce Dragons. I began pumping them out four at a time and I had masive ammounts of them.
“Shall we attack now?” My partner says to me. “No, we wait longer for him to figre it out.” That is what I responded with. My second mistake. I had us wait too long and when I attacked, he defended well and even made a small counter strike, but that was quickly quelled. OUr next attack would come quickly after…
Note by this time I was out of money and had just enough to build one more Town Hall. I had built one on a nothern Island to mine, but that ran out of money. Our enemy controled all other islands. I did not know this (my third mistake by the way) and landed a peon on a weastern island. I built my Town Hall and used all the money I had. That Town hall was destroyed. So I tool vengance with my Death Knights.I had trained about nine death knights and put them in a transport and sent them to his original base. I destroyed it with the help of my friend and he started to trash talk. But I thought the game was over, but nope. I had lost alot of my death knights in battle, and two were lost becuase of my partner thought the game was over and tested animorph on them, I retaliated by sinking a transport and we went on to try and find the other bases. Eventually, our enemy built up his Gryphon Ryders again…
Now My base was only protected by Archers. I had expected the battles to take place in the water, air and on HIS lands, not mine. So there I sat, no money, no army, and slowly gaining magic. I was lost. And on top of that, my transports were gone. My friend was doing alright, for not having money. Thats when it hit me. About 18 gryphon ryders come out of the fog and take out a farm. I sent my archers on a suicide mission to kill as many Gryphons as possible. Now theses archers werent normal. They had all the upgrades (elven rangers, strongest weapons and defense, ect.) And they killed about half, due to luck, becuase he was more centered on destroying my base, rather than killing men. But they eventually died, and the fryphons I killled were replaced. so I was stranded and my partner couldnt help. I told him to run and try to expand if possible, as I got five submarines out to hide. I was gone. No food, money, men, buildings, not even a peon to attack with. But…I had my subs. He was gloating, and I retaliated with some trash talk and all the while my firend was silent. I told him in private allie-chat that I was going to go down fighting. I sent my subs in to his shipyard, and set a masive fire there, but that was it…I died.
Later that evening I got in touch with my friend and he told me that in the end, when I was gone, he and the enemy had alligned themselves with one anoher and that they had not gotten the loss…So, was I being punished for plotting a betrayal? Had my partner planend this and that is the reason he had not helped me? Or could it be just a strange twist of fate?
I wont know….but a word of advice: if you plot against another player, be sure to not make mistakes as I did. Be mindfull, and play as if everyone is against you beause when you backstab a player, everyone IS against YOU!
